TROUSER/SLACKS MEASUREMENT INSTRUCTIONS 

Schools with smaller numbers (30 or less) cadets will be able to place an slack/trouser order on sbbcjrotclog.org, in the Special Instructions area please include the the following information only.

 

Size 36 Length 34 LEWIS
Size 18 Length SMITH

 

To measure cadets in their civilian clothes, please ensure cadets are wearing long trousers and follow instructions starting at Line 2.

 

Bulk orders 30 or more needing an Alterations Appointment, must use the Alterations Worksheet located in the SBBC CAB Army Conference Resource Logistics Folder

Before your Unit's Alteration Appointment, please create and fill out a alteration tag and/or index card, tag will include the following:

 

 

After completing the alteration tag below, please follow instructions starting at Line 1

 

 

1.  Have the cadet try on uniform trouser/slacks with uniform shoes.

 

2.  Ensure the pants fit properly at the waist. The smallest part of the waist. Typically around the belly button. Also known as the natural waistline. Also with so many unique body differences and sizes, as an alternate, Trouser/slacks may be fitted and worn with the lower edge of the waistband at least 1 1/2 inches above the hipbone.

 

3. Using measuring tape measure the out seam of the trouser/slacks. (All measurements must be inches)

 

a)  Place the measuring tape flush with the very top of the waistband.

 

b)  Measure to ½ inch below the top of dress shoe. The exact point of reference is indicated on image of dress shoe below.

 

c)  Units placing orders on sbbcjrotclog.org, annotate on a piece of paper the trouser/slacks size and length. 

    Units with a Alterations Appointment, mark trouser/slacks measured edge with chalk, pins and/or needles and annotate trouser/slacks size and length on the cadet alteration tag
